The Mid-Fall Slump Session

Name the season. Shrink the experiment. Don’t add a new goal.

This is not the energy-override rule and not a renewal. It’s one session: name October, shrink the test, keep the goal. Progress stays three points. Boundaries apply to you too. Don’t harvest a case study from a slump. Confidentiality still holds if they vent online.

The Session Job

“October is loud. We’re not adding a goal. We’re making Tuesday smaller. What is the 20-minute version of the experiment?”

Write the shrink. Score the same goal. That’s the hour.

How to Hold It

Open with the season, not their character. If they want a new mountain, park it until the next 4-session review.

Slump

Where Coaches Break

  • Diagnosing their motivation. That’s a new project.
  • Adding a morning routine because you read one.

The 3-Minute Action

Pick the client whose experiment grew in September. Write the 20-minute version. Use it as the contract next hour.
