A One-Page Client Brief You’ll Actually Open

Name, goal, landmines, last score, open loop. If it takes a scroll, it will not get opened.

If the brief scrolls, you will not open it. This is a snapshot, not a Notion novel and not the full progress log. Pair it with the 48-hour reminder. If they ghosted after a win, the brief still holds the last score.

The Five Fields

  1. Name + offer
  2. Goal in one sentence
  3. Landmines — dual role, topic to avoid, who else is in the room
  4. Last score
  5. Open loop — the experiment or the silence

That’s the page. Nothing else earns a line.

How to Keep It One Page

Update the five fields after every session. If a sixth field appears, it replaces one. Print it or pin it. Do not link out to five databases.

Where Coaches Break

  • Pasting the intake form. That’s a file, not a brief.
  • Writing landmines as gossip. Write the constraint, not the story.

The 3-Minute Action

Build the five-field brief for tomorrow’s first client. If it overflows a screen, cut until it doesn’t.
